Social Program

Discover, Connect, and Unwind at the XXXIX Nordic Congress in Clinical Chemistry!

Welcome to join in on the social activities curated to complement the scientific agenda of the XXXIX Nordic Congress in Clinical Chemistry.

Kickstart by mingling with peers among the sponsors and the poster exhibition at Aula Medica on the congress’ first day, Tuesday 17 September at 17.00.

The highlight awaits on Thursday evening, 19 September at 19.00, with a memorable dinner at the historic Vasa Museum with a touch of Swedish maritime heritage. There will be award ceremonies presenting winning abstracts and celebrating outstanding workmanship. Please note that the temperature in the dinner hall at the museum is 18-20°C, so dress accordingly. Remember to bring your nametag with the dinner ticket included to the dinner.

Stockholm is a beautiful city to explore during autumn. The city has something to offer everyone. We recommend that you visit the official guide to Stockholm for suggestions: The official guide to Stockholm - Visit Stockholm

To help you enjoy some of the highlights we have put together a 6 km walk from T-Centralen to Fotografiska. The walk starts in the center of Stockholm and will take you through a shopping area, by the parliament, over to the castle and through the old town of Stockholm, passing the Nobel prize museum. Continue over the golden bridge and the heights of Södermalm, where you will have a gorgeous view of the city. You could end the walk at Fotografiska, a contemporary museum of photography, art and culture, where you can enjoy a dinner with seasonal food at the restaurant looking out over the city harbor.

Another way to explore Stockholm, a city of islands, is from the water. There are a number of boats and tours that you can read about here:  Boat tours & sightseeing in Stockholm - Visit Stockholm
